Shelley Wells

Shelley is a recent graduate from the Massage Therapy program at Academy Canada with a diploma in Health and Human Sciences. She was born and raised on the beautiful west coast of Newfoundland where Deer Lake is her home.
Her main reason for entering the Massage Therapy program was to help people with chronic pain, stress, anxiety and to improve their way of life through client education and self care. While in school the clinic hours allowed her to treat a number of conditions and disorders in a safe and effective way. Some which include deep tissue, myofascial trigger point release, relaxation, prenatal, TMJ and overuse injuries.

She has an extensive background in customer service and she feels that a client/therapist relationship is extremely important; every client is different and each treatment should be modified for that client. Massage therapy involves continued learning and she looks forward to furthering her education in this field so that she can provide the highest level of care to her clients. She is hoping to further her education by taking a Chinese cupping course in the near future. Her personal interests are hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, camping and exploring this amazing province we live in.
