Matthew graduated from ICT (International Complementary Therapy) Schools in July 2009 with a diploma in Massage Therapy. Though he is originally from Corner Brook, he has been working in physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics in St. John’s for the past several years, where he has had the opportunity to work with, treat, and help clients with a wide variety of ailments.
Matthew uses a variety of techniques when treating his clients including deep tissue massage, myofascial trigger point release, Chinese cupping therapy, and most importantly educating his clients in the ways they can improve their quality of health and maintain progress achieved through massage therapy as well as other modalities.
Matthew’s professional interests include working with clients who suffer from chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, low back pain and conditions associated with motor vehicle accidents, as well as pain/bio-mechanical conditions associated with pregnancy.
After spending nearly 12 years in St. John’s, Matthew and his partner have decided to move back to the West coast to raise their son, and be closer to family. He looks forward to spending time hiking, snow shoeing, fishing, and spending weekends at the cabin.
